Alkyl ketene dimer wax powder (AKD wax powder) is the core raw material of AKD emulsion, and both are used in papermaking. In adhesive application, it forms an upstream and downstream relationship. At room temperature, it is a pale yellow, waxy solid. It has wide applications in the papermaking industry. The molecular structure has high activityβ-lactone ring, the ability to react with cellulose hydroxyl groups to form hydrophobic β-keto ester bonds is the fundamental source of paper's water resistance. |
