Spectrum Advanced’s Fluoron division manufactures custom heat‑shrink Teflon (PTFE, FEP, and PFA) sleeves that give spreader, guide, felt, and calender rolls a smooth, wrinkle‑free, non‑stick surface while protecting the underlying shell. These sleeves act as a chemically inert barrier that resists corrosion, pits, grooves, and stickies buildup, helping mills reduce wraps and scraping, keep rolls cleaner longer, and stabilize sheet quality through the press and dryer sections. Multiple wall thicknesses and adhesive options allow each sleeve to be matched to low‑ and high‑wear positions, and the FS‑102 conductive, high‑wear PTFE variant offers roughly 10x the abrasion resistance of standard FEP, with proven multi‑year performance on demanding spreader and guide rolls. |
