About the Company

We are a leading paper-trading house based in India with a wide presence in domestic and international market. We are a name synonymous with paper industry. We commenced our journey in 1944 from Ranchi (Jharkhand, India). In the 70’s we made Kolkata (West Bengal), erstwhile Calcutta, our base to cater more efficiently and effectively to the entire eastern region of India. In the 90’s we established our ‘Export/Import’ division to tap the international market from Kolkata. Our contribution to the Indian paper exports was so valuable that the Government of India conferred the ‘Export House’ status upon us. The next wave of expansion came from southern India. So, in 1990, we set up base in Chennai, Sivakasi (Tamil Nadu) and Bengaluru (Karnataka), erstwhile Bangalore by the name ‘Hiralal Kishan Kumar’, which was later rechristened ‘Amit Papers.’ From the modest beginning in 1944, we have become a leading distributor of ‘Conventional & Specialty Paper and Board’ across India and its neighbouring countries. We deal in almost all varieties of paper and boards catering to a large number of industries, consumers and traders. As paper distributors, we connect and catalyze the supply chain between the manufacturers and the customers. We are the sole distributors of various esteemed paper manufacturers across India. We believe in operating with honesty, professionalism and transparency, through which we have gained the trust of the manufacturers and the customers alike. We measure our success by the satisfaction of our customers and not by the numbers. Hence, we not only deliver our highest quality products on time but do so with a smile that has endeared us to our customers. We always strive to understand our customer requirements and quickly address the gap. Our proximity to the customers helps us grasp the emerging trends in the paper industry, which we use to update our partner manufacturers thus developing synergies across the value-chain. Having firmly established ourselves in India and in the neighbouring countries, we are now looking at expanding progressively and creating a more global presence.
