A maximum of 6% of chips shall be between 4.8 mm and 9.5mm A maximum of 3% of chips shall be less than 4.8mm in length. Chips will contain maximum 1.0% bark and rot and nil charcoal. A minimum of 90% thickness should be in the size of 5-8mm Besides, wood chips must be free from all forms of contamination such as rocks, soil, plastic, metal, asphalt, glass, etc. and will be suitable for the manufacture of pulp for paper production.
