Paper Roll Hardness Tester (Digital)
INTRODUCTION: The PAROtester 2 paper roll tester allows for an objective and quick evaluation of the roll hardness, the hardness profile and the variation in hardness of paper, foil and film rolls. Automatic loading and unloading of the impact body by pressing the impact device to the roll results in fast and repeatable tests with more resolution than the commonly used Schmidt hammer test. The PAROtester 2 roll tester impact device is also designed for long service life. User friendly electronics with a large display LCD display of the measuring data with statistical values adds to the benefits of the PAROtester 2 roll tester. Data can be printed out immediately on the optional RS-232 printer. Information (~5,000 single measurements) can also be stored internally by individual roll identification and can be sent to a PC or printed via the RS-232 connection. PRINCIPLE: Field-proven technology compares impact and rebound speeds, automatically calculating a hardness value (L). By taking readings at five to ten cm intervals across the roll, uneven winding or looseness can be readily detected.
